Job Description

Make your mark as an Offshore Seismic Processor at Gardline!

As an offshore seismic processor you would be responsible for quality control of seismic data acquired offshore, as well as full processing when required, and delivering projects from the vessel to the office ready for further processing or final delivery to clients.

There is an initial 6 month training period which will be conducted in our Great Yarmouth office ( You need to have the right to work in the UK). Following successful completion of this, you will be required to work a minimum of 200 days within each year (contract target days). This includes days at sea, travel days and office days.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Geophysical data analysis and data processing using ProMAX/SeisSpace software.
  • To undertake quality control of seismic data acquired offshore.
  • To undertake full processing of seismic data offshore to client deliverable standard.
  • Data backup and archives.
  • Project reporting, documentation and data administration.
  • Liaison with sub-contractors and clients as required.

Qualifications

Your qualities

You can make your mark as an offshore Seismic Processor if you have:

  • Degree level qualification in a geosciences related discipline.
  • Higher level degree/MSc would be an advantage.
  • Not required at this level but any direct experience of seismic acquisition at a commercial or academic level would be beneficial.
  • Able to work under pressure, occasionally in difficult conditions, while also maintaining a professional approach.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Good communication, both written and verbal, to deal with both clients and other members of the organisation.

Extra information

  • A full drivers license would be advantageous.
  • Where you will work: Endeavour House, Admiralty Road, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR30 3NG for the first 6 months for training and then this will be be an offshore role.
  • Fulltime job: The position is a fulltime role, 37.5 hours per week
