The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in electronic engineering, underwater acoustics, equipment maintenance, within the Environmental Department, with a view to becoming an established Acoustic Equipment Technician at the end of the apprenticeship programme.
Your main responsibilities will include providing support to the Acoustics team with the installation, repair and maintenance of passive acoustic monitoring systems in addition to GPS and other marine related electronic systems.
The ideal candidate will be interested in electronics engineering, possess a minimum of GCSE grades A – C in Science and Mathematics and be IT literate, in particular with the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Microsoft Access knowledge is desirable.
