Spar Draco

Anchorage “A” on the 8th of June. The damage to the rudder was extensive and SMIT was contracted to salve the vessel. After the rudder was secured, the vessel was towed to the anchorage to discharge its cargo. While discharging took place, SMIT prepared the vessel for the ocean towage operation. Once the cargo was discharged the 'Spar Draco' was towed to Singapore for repairs.   Tantan SMIT Salvage

NOMO wrecks SMIT Salvage was awarded the contract for the removal of two very old wrecks in the Dutch section of the North Sea by Rijkswaterstaat...' and 'SMIT Barge 7', plus two support tugs. For the removal of the first wreck one of SMIT’s large salvage grabs was used to pick up the wreck pieces and debris from the IJgeul, one of the channels into the port of Rotterdam.
