Make Your Mark as a Geotechnical Reporting Manager at Gardline!

Gardline are looking to recruit geotechnical reporting manager to join their busy Geoconsultancy team based in Great Yarmouth. As part of the Geoconsultancy management team you will be responsible for developing geotechnical data presentation and helping the team understand new acquisition methodologies in the offshore geotechnical industry. You’ll also lead and manage a team of project engineers and play a key role in their development.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Development of technical methodologies and maintaining current processing and reporting processes in line with current industry standards
  • Provide day to day leadership and management to team of geotechnical project engineers and yearly intake of graduates including but not limited to, performance management, coaching, performance appraisal, and absence management
  • Oversee technical input and quality control of geotechnical data during a project in line with industry standards and client specifications
  • Coordinate and manage the submission of Geotechnical Reports in a timely manner
  • Understand the full life cycle of an offshore site investigation project, from tendering to final deliverables, including a full laboratory programme including advanced testing
  • Develop methodologies, calculations, and deliverables in line with industry standards and client requirements
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the tendering process to assist when head of Geo-Consultancy absent
  • Understand and be responsible for safety in the working environment
  • Assist with any other reasonable duties as requested by the line manager

 

Your Qualities:

You can move ahead as a Geotechnical Reporting Manager if you have:

  • High level of experience in offshore geotechnical data acquisition
  • Quality control and processing/Interpretation of CPT data and seabed samples
  • Production of geotechnical reports
  • Knowledge of technical methodologies and maintaining current processing and reporting processes in line with current industry standards
  • Mentor and train geotechnical project engineers
  • Ability to travel (up-to-date Passport and valid Driving License)

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum BSc or equivalent degree with a specialisation in the Earth Sciences or Civil Engineering

  • Full time: The position of Geotechnical Reporting Manager is a full-time, permanent role, 37.5 hours per week.
