Make your mark as a Laboratory Supervisor!

As a Laboratory Supervisor you are responsible for the supervision of the Laboratory Technicians, work distribution and prioritization and to train personnel on laboratory testing programs.   

Your responsibilities:

  • Oversee receipt of samples, check against pro-forma and book into Laboratory system.
  • Display competency in basic lab testing
  • Understand and be responsible for safety in the working environment
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the service through positive support and joint working with colleagues throughout the company
  • Ensure all Company HSSE policies are known and observed.
  • Assist with any other reasonable duties as requested by the line manager.  Training will be provided if required.

Your qualities:
You can make your mark as a Laboratory Supervisor:

  • Ability to become familiar with testing procedures and standards
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment (desirable)
  • Experience supervising a team (desirable)
  • Ability to manage own and others' performance
  • Have a strong understanding of HSE
  • Flexible and adaptable; to work in a changing environment and be open to new ideas.
  • Display a proactive approach in taking work issues forward.
  • Problem-solving; uses initiative and assertiveness within remit.

  • Where you will work: Endeavour House, Admiralty Road, Great Yarmouth, NR30 3NG
  • Fulltime/ part-time job: The position of function is a fulltime (37.5 hours a week)
