Make your mark as a Geotechnical Project Engineer at Gardline! 

As a geotechnical project engineer you will carry out office and offshore geotechnical activities in line with Industry accepted standards and Gardline principles. This includes high quality data and sample collection, management and interpretation of results and to collate the findings in a comprehensive geotechnical factual report.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • High quality data and sample collection, management and interpretation of results and to collate the findings in a comprehensive geotechnical factual report.
  • Lead technical contact with clients on offshore geotechnical site investigation
  • Oversee geotechnical laboratory testing programmes, including adherence to client specifications
  • Produce detailed geotechnical reports, including detailing project specific operational details, local geological conditions, and factual results.
  • Provide technical assistance to ongoing offshore projects
  • Undertake basic offshore laboratory testing and soil and rock logging.
  • Acquire and process high quality geotechnical data.
  • Perform computerised data processing and prepare results in accordance with industry standards and in-house practices.
  • Compile factual geotechnical deliverable/results in the field.
  • Participate in consultancy activities, including internal developments.

 

Your Qualities:

You can make your mark as a geotechnical project engineer if you have

  • A minimum BSc or equivalent degree specialising in Earth Sciences or Civil Engineering.
  • Work experience in this industry
  • Experience in reporting writing and quality control of data
  • Communicates in a clear, open and honest way, encouraging constructive feedback
  • Ability to travel (up-to-date passport and valid driving license essential)
  • The right to work in the UK without restriction

  • Where you will work:  Endeavour House, Admiralty Road, Great Yarmouth
  • Fulltime job: The position of geotechnical project engineer is a fulltime role, 37.5 hours per week
