Make your mark as a Mechanical Engineer at Gardline!
As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment and logistics management of equipment.
Your responsibilities:
- Purchase equipment from suppliers and coordinate the design and purchase of bespoke components and systems.
- Coordinate the equipment movements, paperwork and log between vessels, supplier and workshop.
- Final QC of equipment manufacturing.
- Provide complete through life support for mechanical / hydraulic / pneumatic systems.
- Provide technical and administrative support to various engineer’s onboard vessels.
- Improve and develop systems to be fit for purpose.
- Visits to vessels to mobilise equipment and support the operations department as the expert on equipment.
- Input planned maintenance tasks and identify areas for improvement based on continuous monitoring and lessons learned.
Your Qualities:
You can make your mark as a Mechanical Engineer:
- HND in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- 5 practical years in a relevant role such as seismic source mechanic/ CPT operator or other mechanical role.
- Vast experience of repair and maintenance of seismic systems/mechanical/hydraulic systems.
- Experience of seismic air compressors/mechanical/hydraulic equipment
- Experience in workshop manufacturing /repair environment.
- Experience in a technical support role.
- Able to pass a ENG1 / STCW95 should need to offshore work / trials be required.

- A full drivers’ license is required.
- Where you will work: Hewett Park, Hewett Road, Gapton Hall Industrial Estate, Great Yarmouth.
- Fulltime job: The position of a Mechanical Engineer is a fulltime role, 37.5 hours per week.
