Technical Superintendent

Make your mark at Gardline as a Technical Superintendent!

As a Technical Superintendent, you will be the first point of contact regarding day-to-day issues affecting the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the group's fleet including machinery as well as vessel integrity. This will include inspection, maintenance, and repair from preventative maintenance through to periodic overhauls and dry dockings.

Your responsibilities as a Technical Superintendent:

• Maintenance of all statutory Class, Flag State, and SOLAS certifications.
• Compliance with requirements relating to such certification.
• The day-to-day running of all aspects of ship operations.
• Monitoring the operation and maintenance of ship machinery and equipment by the onboard planned maintenance system.
• Closing of all defect reports in an appropriate timescale.
• Safe and adequate manning of company-operated ships.
• Effective communication of legislation and official notices etc.
• Planning and Execution of Class / and operational docking requirements form an overall project management perspective

You can make your mark as Technical Superintendent if you have:

• Class I/II cert of competency. Deck or Engineering
• Engineering/Naval Architect qualification degree or equivalent.
• HND
• Significant experience from a Marine Engineering /Ship repair background.
• Worked as a Senior Engineer/ Navigational Officer
• Project Management.
• Business qualification.
• Budget management experience
• Contractor Management (Working Knowledge) .

• Fulltime Job: The position of Technical Superintendent is a fulltime role (37.5 hours a week)
