Make your mark as a Senior Marine Electronic Engineer at Gardline! 

As a senior marine electronic engineer, you will be providing support to Gardline's fleet of vessels both in the workshops in Great Yarmouth and alongside at various ports which provides an exciting opportunity for travel.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Liaison with internal and external suppliers and contractors.
  • Provide service support for Company Operated Vessels
  • Assist in the Control of operations within the workshop and Workshop Staff to meet all departmental deadlines and operational requirements.
  • Assist in the development, design and modification of equipment required to fulfil Gardline Positioning requirements.
  • Travel to vessels to Supervise, Plan, Co-ordinate and liaise, in ordered to conduct maintenance plans and equipment installations.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the service through positive support and joint working with colleagues throughout the Group.
  • Acknowledge the diversity of colleagues, to acknowledge their different needs and to treat each person in a fair and reasonable manner.
  • Ensure all Company HSSE policies are known and observed.
  • Assist with any other Management duties as requested by the Positioning Manager.  Training will be provided if required.
  • Assist in ensuring the safety, security and maintenance of the building, information systems, fittings and equipment, including reporting defects and being responsible for your own safety, and that of other staff, and any member of the public who may be affected by your acts and omissions at work.

 

Your qualities

You can make your mark as a Senior Marine Electronic Engineer if you have:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification / Experience
  • Equipment Specific certification (Desirable)
  • Experience of installing sensitive electronic equipment.
  • Previous supervisory experience (Desirable)
  • Ability to travel to vessels both in the UK and abroad as required and at short notice is essential.

  • Fulltime/ part-time job: The position is fulltime (37.5 hours a week).
