History

Over the past half century Gardline has grown from a local Great Yarmouth based company to one of the largest marine survey companies in the world.

Highlights

Gardline has been instrumental in the marine industry for 50 years. Some highlights include being at the forefront of the emerging site survey industry in the 1970s to de-risk the drilling industry. We were the foremost hydrographic contractor to the UK Government during the 80s, 90s and 2000s, to improve maritime safety in UK waters. We were the biggest player in the UNCLOS market during the 90s and early 2000s, helping coastal states extend continental shelves. We grew our expertise in the site survey industry to West Africa and South East Asia during the 80s and 90s. 2002 saw the diversification and expansion of Gardline to include geotechnical and environmental survey services.
